Bengaluru, Oct 29: Every year comes closer to end and the WWE fans start to speculate who is going to be the Undertaker's opponent at the grandest stage of Wrestlemania. The Phenom has made Wrestlemania his own playground and next year will mark his 25th match at the biggest PPV of the year.
There are certainly some random names floating around the internet with his opponent's name like John Cena, Goldberg and even the retired Icon, Sting. Most of the talks are surrounded with John Cena since he still owes Taker the last match since it was the original planning for this year. But, Cena's shoulder surgery nixed out the plans.
The storyline will go like this, Kevin Owens will drop his Universal title by the time of Royal Rumble and will enter into a feud with the Deadman right after that. This year's Royal Rumble is going to be held at taker's home state of Texas and WWE is planning to start the feud from that night.
Plus, Wrestlemania is still a long way from today's date and hence these planning might be dropped as per the upcoming happenings.
Undertaker might have lost his streak at Wrestlemania two years ago at the hands of Brock Lesnar but stepping inside the squared circle at Wrestlemania against Undertaker still is considered as the biggest achievement of an individual's career.
So, Owens' name is very much significant in that perspective. He is supposed to be the biggest heel of the company, for the upcoming few years. Hence what better way to cement his legacy by a solid Universal title reign and then following it with a feud with the Undertaker?
