Bengaluru, Nov 17: We have received the blockbuster returning news of the former WWE Women’s champion, Mickie James at the weekend of Survivor Series PPV. The announcement was made to hype up the last big NXT Takeover of this year.

The NXT special will take place the day prior to the Survivor Series PPV. On November 19th from Toronto, Ontario, Canada the NXT Women’s champion Asuka will defend her title against Mickie James. Now, sources suggest that WWE even had something bigger plan for the event.

Mickie James was not the original choice as the opponent of the Japanese sensation. Since this year Survivor Series will take place from the hometown of WWE legend Diva, Trish Stratus.

She was contacted by WWE to have a match against Asuka. The home crowd for her will surely benefit the event.

But, the plan got canceled once Trish announced her pregnancy. The news was given to the WWE Creative much prior to making it a public one.

So, WWE had no choice but to cancel the program and instead Mickie was called for the event.

Trish had shown interest in the past to work in a couple of matches with the now incredible women athletes. She is still ready to compete inside the ring because of her yoga sessions.

Hence, she was supposedly approached for the Takeover match and a couple of dates more after that. Now, that she is unable to have one more stint in WWE, Mickie James will play the similar role.

However, James is still a big draw for WWE. The venue of the takeover event, the Full Sail University is already hyped up with the return of the former Women’s champion and we expect to see an incredible title match.

Last year, during this weekend, we have seen an incredible women’s title match from the NXT division between Sasha Banks and Bayley. Asuka is expected to retain her title since she is the face of the NXT women’s division.
