Bengaluru, Nov 25: The most successful event PPV of the year, Survivor Series is in the history book. WWE will be looking to make some new angles that can be portraying on the television for the rest of this year.
Moving forward there are different topics that are roaming around the rumour mill, this week.
The planning for Wrestlemania is one of them, being constant. So, here are this week’s top 5 rumours.
Chris Jericho to have one last title run
Jericho’s 2016 run is coming to an end as per the reports and it has been a solid, so far. This has been so amazing that he might end up having one title run. The friendship between Kevin Owens and Jericho is bound to turn into a full-fledged feud at some point and rumour mill suggests that the match between them will take place at Wrestlemania. He will turn babyface just prior to the event to have one short title run before leaving on a music tour with his band, Fozzy.
Dana Brooke no more considered as bigger star
Upon landing on the main roster, WWE Creative has some big planning with Dana Brooke. But, lack of talents has barred the creative from doing that. So, right now she is considered as a goof with no future. The supposed to be “female Roman Reigns” is vanquished while in the making and no title storyline is reserved for her in future. So, a babyface run or turning on her protégé, Charlotte is also not on the cards.
Ziggler to regain the IC title
As per the rumours, the decision of Ziggler losing the IC title to the Miz was a last minute decision. It added a heel vs. face scenario to the Survivor Series Intercontinental championship match between Zayn vs. the Miz match up. It also indicates the fact that Ziggler will regain the title in near future that is at the TLC PPV ladders match. Zayn is not expected to hold any championship, soon.
The Rock’s involvement at Wrestlemania
Next year too, the Rock is not expected to feature in a full-fledged match at Wrestlemania. His contract will allow him to appear in only non-wrestling capacity. So, whether it is a segment with Vin Diesel or a segment with Conor McGregor, he will be appearing to entertain people with his mic skills and perhaps the most electrifying move in all of the entertainment.
Goldberg’s appearance in Wrestlemania confirmed
WWE has booked Goldberg for Royal Rumble for nothing. The tremendous fan following will help them to sell out the crowd at Alamodome as well as Orlando, Florida. Hence, Vince McMahon has extended the contract with Goldberg which was just for one match during his return. Rumors also tell that the booking for the Rumble event is also finalized. Lesnar will also feature in the match to set up a Wrestlemania match between the two of them.
