Bengaluru, Oct 14: We have gone past with the No Mercy PPV and is heading to the next stop i.e. Hell in a Cell from the flagship show of the company.
We keep on hearing the planning about the build up for the feud. However, there are some more headliners, as well.
Chris Jericho to stay more
Chris Jericho is extending this year’s stint much longer than thought. Earlier speculations stated that he will leave after the Hell in a Cell PPV. But, his absent will cost WWE big time with the thinness of the roster and hence he might stay towards the end of this year. It is speculated that once Owens is done with Rollins, he will start feuding with Jericho for his title breaking their friendship.
Charlotte-Sasha Banks to main event Hell in a Cell
After 12 long years, Charlotte and Sasha Banks featured in the main event on WWE Raw. With the ongoing Women’s revolution, WWE is planning to make the main event for Hell in a cell on October 30 with them. It will be a monumental occasion in the history of WWE, when these two will step foot inside the steel structure, for the first-time ever. WWE might want to make it bigger by giving it the main event spotlight.
Reason behind Survivor Series main event
Apparently, the planning between the match with Goldberg and Brock Lesnar was done for Wrestlemania 33 but it is now being preponed to Survivor Series. The sole reason behind this is the release of WWE 2K17 video game. WWE want to make the marketing around this dream match and hence scheduled this one as close as possible to the game’s release. Lesnar is supposed to get Shane McMahon as his Wrestlemania opponent and the build-up should start from Royal Rumble.
Vince McMahon not happy with ratings
September was the worst month for WWE in terms of ratings. Raw has seen a record low rating due to the season premiere of Monday Night football and the presidential debate. Vince McMahon is not at all happy with this and wants to bring some change in the programming. We cannot assume the exact alterations, as of now. But, it is coming and the fans should be happy with it.
The WWE roster is thinner than ever after the WWE Draft got over on July and WWE is planning to fire some more. This decision can backfire the programming for both Raw and Smackdown. Earlier this month, WWE has released not so known faces i.e. Sarah Lee and Hugo Knox. Sarah was Tough Enough contestant and her release reason is said to be due to pregnancy. It will be interesting to see who makes it to the thinning list.
