Bengaluru, Dec 1: The Rock is always expected when the Wrestlemania season comes around. Last year too at Wrestlemania 32 he made a special appearance at the grandest stage of them all.
Even prior to the show, he made a surprise return to WWE Raw to announce that he will be present at the showcase of immortals. This year too, he made a big hint of returning to Wrestlemania.
The People’s champ recently visited Los Angeles, California while promoting his released Disney animated film, Moana.
He had a conversation with TV Entertainment reporter Van Vliet where he teased his appearance at next Wrestlemania 33.
Van asked him about his presence and he directly admitted that we will see him there. Here is the conversation,
Van Vliet: “So we'll see you in April? Orlando?”
Rock: “What's in Orlando?”
Van Vliet: “A little thing called WrestleMania.”
Rock: “Sure, ya I'll see you there.”
Since his return to the WWE prior to Wrestlemania 27, it will be his seventh appearance at next year’s Wrestlemania 33.
It’s due to his root being in the WWE that he manages to take his time out if his busy schedule to feature at Wrestlemania at a certain capacity.
The rumor mill suggested that the Rock and Vin Diesel might indulge in a fight to promote their upcoming Fast and Furious movie.
It will release just one week after Wrestlemania gets over and hence they will not get any bigger stage than Wrestlemania to promote it.
The Rock made record last year by winning a match within six seconds at Wrestlemania. It can’t be considered a legit match.
Vince McMahon wanted to pit Brock Lesnar against The Rock, last year but he could not do it since Rock’s movie contract would not allow him to do so.
The same stakes are on this year, too. This means that he will not be involved in a full-length match. However, with this conversation, we can expect him at Orlando, Florida on April 2nd, 2017, to steal the show.
