Toronto, Nov 21: The fans were shocked to see that the mega match between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar turned out to be a squash match in favor of the returning one.
Goldberg put down Lesnar in less than two minutes, stunning the crowd. More importantly, the buildup of a dominant Lesnar for the last 4 years was put to rest with this triumphant win.
Goldberg connected with two spears and a Jackhammer to finish the match in no time. According to the reports, there are many reasons behind Goldberg getting such a mammoth win.
Goldberg did not get much time to get ready for the match since he signed a deal with WWE just one month earlier from the day of Survivor Series.
Clearly, it was not enough time for the man who was away from the ring for 12 long years. Plus, it was also noted prior to the match that Goldberg has tweaked his shoulder which never allowed him to get into the ring with a hundred percent physicality.
As per reports from Prowrestlingsheet.com, Goldberg has also reached an agreement with WWE just prior to the match for appearing at the Royal Rumble PPV set to take place in January 2017.
This might be the reason that Goldberg tweeted “who’s next” just after the PPV indicating more things to come for him in near future.
Previously, he was under contract with WWE just for this dream match with Lesnar. We have seen him addressing the beast as “you’re last” in his first appearance on Raw.
Reports also indicate that Goldberg vs. Lesnar feud might not be over, as of now. The third installment of this feud might take place at the Royal Rumble PPV or at Wrestlemania 33.
The fans also pointed out the fact that this dominant fashioned victory might set up another dream match i.e. Undertaker vs. Goldberg at Wrestlemania, as well.
So, at the end of the day, the fans are the true winner since Goldberg will be involved in more matches in the near future.
