WWE Smackdown: Twitterati react to John Cena’s return

By Super Admin

Bengaluru, Sep 14: The crowd was on their feet at Smackdown Live to embrace the Phenomenal Era. Not only AJ Styles himself but the crowd too wants him to be the face that runs the place.

WWE has booked Cena's return after a hiatus of three weeks after Summerslam expecting that he might get an overwhelming reaction but that was not the case as the crowd booed the idea of him getting the title shot at No Mercy PPV.

Cena has not pinned Styles either to earn the opportunity. Quite interestingly the crowd was vocal too for the former champion, Dean Ambrose.

They turned on him after a long time. It's understandable since he is going through a rough patch, as of late.

He turned on John Cena when the main event was done by hitting the Cenation Leader with a Dirty Deeds. Perhaps, a heel turn is waiting for him in the near future. That might be the reason he was not given his one-on-one title shot against Styles at No Mercy PPV.

In the case of the Smackdown Women's division, it was good to see the new call-ups from NXT roster getting a title shot as Alexa Bliss was given a title shot against the new Smackdown Women's champion, Becky Lynch.

The crowd was thoroughly chanting for Becky. This Irish Lass-kicker certainly has a fire within her and hopefully, will be booked with a stronger title reign.

Last but not the least the Universe loved Heath Slater getting the Smackdown contract, finally. Here're some tweets which proves the blue brand is rolling ahead of the flagship show.
