Lincoln, Sep 6: This week’s Smackdown Live was hosted last night from the Pinnacle Bank arena in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The show kicked off with Daniel Bryan chanting YES with the Smackdown Women’s championship inside the middle of the ring.

We will see the first-ever six pack challenge contest on this Sunday at the Backlash PPV to crown the first Women’s champion from the blue brand.

The six women competing for the title showed up in the ring to make their own statement. However, these things had never meant to go well and hence a huge brawl broke out among them.

The face team of Nikki Bella, Becky Lynch, and Naomi stood tall to shove their opponents off the ring. Bryan also announced that we would witness a six women tag team match later the night.

The Miz had a match with his Summerslam opponent Apollo Crews and picked up the win quite after hitting the Skull Crushing Finale.

Now, Bryan had already made the Intercontinental Championship match official at Backlash between Ziggler and the Miz. Hence, we saw a stare-down between the two of them and the champion escaped like a coward.

The six women tag team contest was a back and forth one with everyone fired up to held the Women’s championship on Sunday.

We thought Nikki Bella from the face team to pick up the victory since she is the strongest contender. But, it was Carmella who locked in her code of silence on Nikki and continued her dominance on the former Divas champion. With the legit neck injury earlier this year, Nikki had no choice but to tap out.

The Usos turned on to the American Alpha after digesting a quick loss. It will be a heated rivalry in the tag team division, from now on.

In the other semi-final of the tag team tournament, the team of Rhyno and Slater picked up the win to meet the American Alpha at Backlash. It will be the Smackdown tag team championship match.

Randy Orton delivered a strong statement to his Backlash opponent, Bray Wyatt whereas Kane hit a devastating chokeslam to a dancing Fandango.

In the main segment, we saw AJ Styles confronting the WWE World Champion, Dean Ambrose. Styles was seemingly frustrated after facing insults from the champion and laid him down with a low blow as the show went off the air.
