South Carolina, Nov 30: This was the last edition of Smackdown Live before we get the third brand exclusive PPV i.e. WWE TLC on December 4th.
Last night’s episode was hosted by the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina. The final hype up for the TLC show was made with the rivalries heating up even bigger.
The night kicked off with the contract signing for the Smackdown Women’s championship. After both of them were done signing the contract, the contender punched the champion into the face causing a brawl.
Lynch was on the verge to stand tall but Bliss shoved her off from the ring post and put her through the table to end the opening segment.
We got a tag team action, next. The Miz and Baron Corbin teamed up against Dolph Ziggler and Kalisto.
This was an entertaining brawl until Maryse interfered and shoved off a ladder to Ziggler. Corbin further interfered with a chair to the back of Kalisto and got disqualified.
Carmella cut a final heel promo before heading towards Sunday’s No DQ match at TLC against Nikki Bella. Nikki had heard enough crap about her personal life with John Cena.
So she came running down and started beating down her arch-rival since return at Summerslam. She stood tall by shoving Carmella off the ring.
Ambrose Asylum returned to Smackdown Live with the special guest, James Ellsworth. But, we knew Styles would interfere and start fighting with Ambrose.
The fight took an ugly turn after Ambrose was downed at ringside and the champion hit the Styles Clash on Ellsworth on the steel steps. He was taken to the local hospital after that.
Before the Wyatt family featured in the main event match, Luke Harper faced Kane in a singles match which ended in a losing effort. A chokeslam earned Kane the pinfall victory.
In the main event, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt defeated the American Alpha to become the number one contenders for the tag team championship.
After the match, the reigning champions were interviewed when Styles interfered. Ambrose came running down from nowhere to attack him from behind as the show went off the air.
