Bengaluru, Oct 12: Last night’s Smackdown was more of a fall-out from the No Mercy PPV rather than a set up for the next stop for Smackdown which is going to be Survivor Series, next month. A lot has happened, as usual, once we went off the air.

Two big matches announced for next week’s Smackdown. James Ellsworth will get his title match against AJ Styles since he has pinned the champion last night on Smackdown.

Also, Alexa Bliss was frustrated with her loss against Naomi at the No Mercy PPV and hence she claimed a rematch. So, she will be getting the rematch, next week from Denver, Colorado.

A dark match took place after Smackdown was over where Baron Corbin squashed a local competitor. He delivered a strong message to his rival jack Swagger.

Curt Hawkins addressed his absence on Smackdown. He promised to have his first match on Smackdown Live but did not show up and hence quoted “time wait for nobody except….Curt Hawkins.”

Talking Smack did take place with Renee Young and the Smackdown GM, Daniel Bryan. Bryan admitted that he did not know yet how Raw is going to respond to a team Raw vs. team Smackdown match at Survivor Series PPV.

Renee brought the topic of Goldberg being signed by Raw. Bryan showed his begrudge by saying that he wish that they arrange a match like that. Incidentally, Bryan indirectly confirmed that the dream match will take place at Survivor Series.

Nikki Bella was the first guest on talking Smack where she addressed the continued attack from Carmella. She also said that despite both Raw and Smackdown’s women’s division being the same, Smackdown does not get the appreciation they deserve.

The final guest for the evening was James Ellsworth, the man who just beat AJ Styles and will receive a title shot in future.

The match is all set to take place next week on Smackdown Live. After having a chat, Daniel & James left to have a talk with Shane McMahon.

Meanwhile, the Wyatts took over the show and said that Smackdown is their new home and no one is safe from them. The show went off the air with Wyatt uttering, “Follow the Buzzards.”
