WWE: Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon survives a helicopter crash

Due to some technical faults in midway, the pilot had to make a crash landing on the waters of Gilgo Beach around 10:25 AM ET the helicopter was carrying Shane and his companion.

Bengaluru, July 20: One of the head honchos on the WWE, Shane McMahon has survived a helicopter crash on Wednesday (July 19) morning as per American standard time.

He was one of the two people involved in the incident that required an emergency landing on the Atlantic Ocean. He has been able to come out of it without any harm and is safe.

According to the reports, the son of the WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon took off in a helicopter with another person from Westchester County Airport. But, due to some technical faults in midway, the pilot had to make a crash landing on the waters of Gilgo Beach around 10:25 AM ET.

The emergency rescue team was present on the spot and was able to rescue them from the spot. They carried both of them to the shore safely. Shane and his companion were unharmed since they were protected by life-jackets as reported by the Suffolk County Police report.



Shortly, after the incident, Shane McMahon and the local authorities held a press conference to give us more updates from the incident. We heard the blue brand commissioner saying,

“Well, it's very unsettling when all of a sudden you have something happen. You hear a bang and then you start to say, 'we're going to do an emergency landing in the water.' Yes, it was very unnerving."

He further went on to thank the pilot of the helicopter who was able to make a safe landing on the water of Atlantic and became their savior.

“I would like to thank our pilot, Mario, who did a heroic job of landing us safely in the water, the Suffolk County Marine Bureau who were first on the scene, all the lifeguards who came out to assist us and the Fire Island Coast Guard station."

Following this incident, there were several speculations whether he will be attending this Sunday's Battleground event or not but he assured the WWE Universe by giving a positive answer,

“Everyone is safe and sound. I look forward to seeing everyone at WWE Battleground in Philadelphia this Sunday."
