Bengaluru, Feb 1: Recently, the legendary wrestler Shawn Michaels has appeared in an interview with ESPN.

He was there to promote his new movie “The Resurrection of Gavin Stone”. He talked about WWE contacting him for one last match.

The interviewer also questioned him about whom he would like to face if he indeed returns for a one-off match.

He mentioned the likes of AJ Styles, Seth Rollins or Samoa Joe from NXT. He specifically mentioned Samoa’s name since he feels that his wrestling style is completely different and this could make an interesting pairing inside the ring.

Michaels said: “I look at Samoa Joe, and I’ve told him a number of times that I see his stuff at NXT and think to myself, 'Man, I could have a great deal of fun with you.’

"He’s a guy I have sort of enjoyed, and one of those sleeper guys that no one talks about.

"We have contrasting styles. From my standpoint, I think really telling a great story out there [is most important].

"I could do it with a guy like Samoa Joe. His stuff looks really good, and sometimes he just looks like he’s beating the tar out of somebody.”

The Samoan Submission machine surely has noticed it and replied back on twitter. The tweet said that they indeed will have a great match if given a chance someday.

However, the dream match can only take place in the WWE 2K video game since Michaels have decided to stay away from wrestling.

The former NXT champion was sidelined from the NXT event for the last few weeks to heal up some minor injuries.

It was intentionally done by the creative to give him some much-needed rest so that he can be present with full force while joining the Raw roster.

He debuted with the biggest impact on the main roster after attacking Seth Rollins out of nowhere. Triple H has already declared him as the next poster boy and hence he is supposed to get a major push ahead of the Wrestlemania season.
