The Alamodome has a capacity over 65000 people inside the arena and to sell out the night WWE is planning some big names for the night. The COO of the company, Triple H already hinted that in his tweet.

Speaking of Alamodome and Royal Rumble brings us to the last time we witnessed Royal Rumble event here at 1997.

On that night, Shawn Michaels won the WWE Championship from Sycho Sid as his boyhood dreams came true that night.

Also, on that night it was Stone Cold Steve Austin who won the Rumble event. He got eliminated early but took advantage of the referee not seeing it and again entered at as the number 30 entrant. He eliminated Bret Hart to win his first-ever Royal Rumble match.

Now, as per latest speculations, WWE is trying to bring both Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold for that one night to make it as big as possible.

The last time these two appeared was at the Wrestlemania 32 event in Dallas, Texas. If that would be the case then WWE would certainly shatter the record of the previous record of 60025 attendants from 1997.

Also, in addition, the interesting part is that both Michaels and Austin is from Texas and WWE always tries to indulge the superstars in their hometown to sell tickets more.

So, it is expected that they will appear as a special guest referee or in a special no-wrestling appearance. Also, they can even make a special appearance in the Royal Rumble match itself.

The Undertaker also belongs to Texas and hence the much-awaited return is expected on January 29th, 2017.

After all, this will mark the beginning of the “Road to Wrestlemania” and the company will go all out to set a milestone at the very beginning of the next year.
