WWE Rumour: Samoa Joe may shift to Smackdown for his Wrestlemania match

Samoa Joe was originally scheduled to have a feud with John Cena on Smackdown Live for the WWE championship.

Bengaluru, Feb 6: As per the latest reports, Seth Rollins is suffering a legitimate injury and will be out for at least eight weeks.

The attack from Samoa Joe was scripted but a slight mistake might have caused Rollins and the entire WWE creative to a great extent. The entire Wrestlemania plans now have to be changed.

This is why perhaps WWE has held an emergency meeting to nurture the further planning for Wrestlemania 33 of who could be the replacement of Rollins.

Since Samoa Joe debuted by attacking the Architect, it was strongly believed that he will go on to have a match with his victim at the Fastlane PPV.

But, there's no chance of this match right now as Rollins is shelved. So, Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer has reported that the planning around Samoa Joe might be changed drastically in the near future.

He was originally scheduled to have a feud with John Cena on Smackdown Live for the WWE championship.

This idea was discarded after WWE planned him to go on to a feud with the Architect. But, with Rollins sidelined, the original plan might be back on track and Samoa could very well be drafted to the blue brand of the WWE.

The point to be noted here is that the Samoan Submission machine was never officially signed to the Raw roster. He just portrayed the role of a hired goon by Triple H.

So now that his job is done, Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon might just jump in to sign Samoa on their roster.

We are still two months away from Wrestlemania and if Samoa and Triple H continue to appear on Raw then they will be literally without an opponent. It will be a far better idea to send Samoa on Smackdown to have a feud with Cena.

On the other hand, Triple H might pick up a new rivalry with a surprise challenge thrown by Finn Balor or a Shinsuke Nakamura.
