Bengaluru, Dec 17: The latest report from Inquisitr.com suggested that Roman Reigns might not become a dual champion at the Roadblock PPV.
He will continue holding the United States Championship around his shoulder. But, most importantly, he will be moving to the Smackdown Live brand with the title.
The source also revealed that WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon is not happy with the design of the United States Championship belt.
Hence, from 2017 onwards WWE might redesign the belt. This also might be the reason that ever since Reigns successfully defended the belt against Rusev at Hell in a Cell, it did not get much TV time.
Similar reports also suggest that the belt redesign might be on hold until the Wrestlemania season. The biggest stage of them all is considered to be unveiling fresh benchmark things just like the Women’s title was unveiled during this year’ Wrestlemania.
Speaking of Wrestlemania brings us to another big match that is rumored. Reigns is said to go onto a feud with Braun Strowman in the Wrestlemania season.
This will culminate a big US title match at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. If this match happens then the collision between these two behemoths will certainly benefit WWE.
As of now, Strowman is not booked in a rivalry except for the short feud with Sami Zayn. In January, he is said to be in a feud with the returning Big Show but we do not expect it to be long enough.
So, we can expect him to challenge the Big Dog of the WWE at the showcase of the immortals. A feud with Reigns will certainly benefit him in long run.
However, we don’t have any updates regarding Reigns getting traded to Smackdown. Previously, Forbes reported that AJ Styles might get traded to Raw in near future. If that happens then Reigns can be traded to the blue brand, in return.
