Bengaluru, Feb 5: Ever since the new Universal championship belt was unveiled during the Summerslam PPV, it has received a negative backlash from the fans.
The prime championship of the flagship show was all-red and the fans did express their disinterest into it all over the social media.
Now, if going by a recent twitter post from Orange County Choppers, then we will soon see a replacement of the current belt which did receive major negative reactions. Even the video of the championship getting unveiled mostly had dislikes rather than likes.
This might be the reason that WWE is willing to give a makeover to it, soon. As seen in the picture, the reddish part of the belt will be removed completely.
The new design will see silver borders all over the belt. The golden spots of the current design have also been erased by the company. Hopefully, this new design gets liked by the audience.
With the blueprint of the design already finalized, we might get to see it soon. Generally, WWE introduces newly designed belts on a bigger occasion in either PPVs or the night after it. Wrestlemania is around the corner and we can expect to see it during that time.
Previously, the red belt was unveiled at last year’s Summerslam PPV which was won by the Finn Balor.
The company Orange county Chopper is working with WWE from the year 2008. The now known WWE championship which was created back in 2014 was also the brainchild of them. It was presented to Brock Lesnar after Summerslam 2014.
Apart from the Universal championship, we will soon see the newly designed Intercontinental championship and United States championship, as well.
As per the latest reports, Vince McMahon expressed his dislikes to the present belts and has already come up with new designs.
A hint of the same was already given when Dean Ambrose asked Shane McMahon to replace the IC title belt, a few weeks back. We should learn more about these changes in near future.
