Bengaluru, Oct 6: The more we are inching closer to the global release of the WWE 2K17 video game, the more we are getting closer to perhaps the most earth-shattering return of this decade.
WWE’s one of the most iconic in-ring commentators of all time, Jim Ross has posted a tweet hinting that WWE is seriously planning about the dream match that everyone is talking about.
While we thought that we might get the Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg match at next year’s Wrestlemania, Jim Ross said that the plan is reserved for November’s Survivor Series.
Even after posting the tweet, Goldberg posted two back to back cryptic tweets hinting the same. There are multiple reports coming stating the same since this time there are some serious talks going on between Goldberg and WWE. So, a possibility of these two locking horns in near future cannot be ruled out.
Reading the Internet.... you never know who to believe do you? #WhosNext— Bill Goldberg (@Goldberg) October 5, 2016
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated the below confirming the planning, "There are very serious talks with Bill Goldberg going on right now, maybe more serious than they may already be done for all I know. Everyone is avoiding the question. Where there's smoke, there's fire.
There's something going on. Put it this way: It's in the very strong discussion stages at worst."
The launch of WWE’s annual video game is going to happen in this month. Goldberg and Brock Lesnar are two main promotional characters of the 2K17 version.
Goldberg will be available as a playable character for those who has pre-ordered and featured in the trailer of the video game. On the other hand, Brock Lesnar is the face of the same with Suplex City being the main theme of this edition.
The feud between Lesnar and Goldberg was set from the trailer itself which showed Goldberg seeing a sign of the Suplex City.
Maybe the rivalry is going to start from this string itself prior to the Survivor Series. We have seen the return of the Icon, Sting at Survivor Series 2014 with the same video game promotion and we might be seeing another one.
