Bengaluru, Mar 12: It was reported earlier that Finn Balor made his return to the WWE ring during a live event that took place in Buffalo, New York.
He teamed up with Sami Zayn and the US champion, Chris Jericho to take on the team of Triple H, Kevin Owens, and Samoa Joe.
It was an incredible main event match gifted by WWE to the fans especially arranged for WWE’s Wrestlemania tour.
The ending segment saw the babyfaces picking up the win after Jericho connected with a code-breaker to Owens and got the pinfall.
The fans got a double treat on the show to witness both Balor and Triple H in action after a long time. Upon the conclusion of the tag team match, Balor celebrated the win with the fans in attendance. WWE posted a video of the event in which Balor is found saying “see you soon”.
These words fired up the speculations for his inevitable return on Monday Night Raw, this week. There were a lot of speculations whether he will be available prior to the Road to Wrestlemania.
Now that the in-ring return happened and WWE addressed the non-televised appearance on their official website, it is most likely to happen, soon.
In that case, WWE would have to arrange an opponent for him so that he can get a big match. At this time, Samoa Joe is the most likely choice for him since he is not under any feud, currently.
These two has a tremendous history back in the NXT days and fans would automatically be invested into this.
Apart from Joe, WWE’s advertisements show that Rusev will be his opponent during the post-Wrestlemania season. This is also an indication that The Bulgarian Brute might be in store for him upon return.
Although he is hungry to get back his Universal title back, with Goldberg and Lesnar on the picture, right now, there is no possibility of inserting him into the championship picture.
