WWE Rumour: Chris Jericho to interfere in the Universal title match at Fastlane

Chris Jericho would show up in the match to distract Kevin Owens and cost the title when he will look to pick up some momentum.

Bengaluru, Mar 4: Tomorrow night, March 5, will mark the final stop before Wrestlemania. The third edition of WWE Fastlane PPV will be conducted as a Raw-exclusive PPV to set up the final line-ups for the biggest stage of them all.

The main event of the night will be one historical as Goldberg will challenge the reigning Universal Champion, Kevin Owens for the title.

It will be after 13 long years that the myth will feature in a title match in WWE.

Last time, it was in Armageddon 2003 where he featured in a triple threat match for the world championship.

Now, all the betting odds are in favor of the Myth to win the bout and head towards Wrestlemania with the strap around his waist.

The creative has this planning for a long time to make Goldberg's match against Brock Lesnar, a championship match.

In addition, to make things even worse, wrestlingINC.com reported that Chris Jericho will make his return at Fastlane.

He is absent from televised episodes of Raw ever since he suffered a beatdown at the hands of Owens, three weeks ago.

Jericho would show up in the match to distract Owens and cost the title when he will look to pick up some momentum. This will further cement an Owens vs. Jericho match at Mania.

The prize fighter, however, had continued with his usual arrogance while giving an interview to ESPN.

While talking about the title match he claimed that Goldberg is not even ready for the match and he will continue his championship reign till Wrestlemania. These were his comments:

“You've seen a spear, you've seen a jackhammer. That's pretty much where it ends, but I've been here for about two years, and yet, I've only scratched the surface of what I can do and the people who have followed me, throughout my entire career, before I got to WWE will tell you that's a fact.

"So, I don't think Goldberg is ready for the kind of the main event that I'm going to bring to him at Fastlane, absolutely not."
