WWE: Reason why Nikki Bella did not compete at Survivor Series

Various rumours suggested that Nikki has been suffering from certain injury and this was WWE creative’s idea to write her off from the 5-on-5 Women’s tag team elimination match.

Bengaluru, Nov 29: Raw and Smackdown women's division went head to head at the Survivor Series PPV. Charlotte was the squadron of the team Red whereas Nikki Bella was chosen to lead team blue.

But, to the shock of the WWE Universe, she was attacked by an unknown attacker just prior to the match. This barred her from competing in the match and team Smackdown lost the fight, eventually.

Speculations started saying that Nikki was hurt legit leading to her incompetency at the dual brand PPV.

This was further fuelled when she was not seen performing in-ring capacity last week on Smackdown Live.

Various rumours suggested that Nikki has been suffering from certain injury and this was WWE creative's idea to write her off from the 5-on-5 Women's tag team elimination match.

A report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggested that the plans of Nikki not competing at the Survivor Series match were done much earlier than the night.

It is done due to the fact so that the storyline can be extended one and can be stretched enough. We still don't know who the attacker was and WWE would like to play with it for some more weeks, perhaps.

The attacker might not be Carmella. It might be the coach, Natalya or even Becky Lynch, who might be jealous of Nikki Bella's captaincy.

Despite being the Smackdown Women's champion, Nikki was chosen to be the flag bearer from the blue brand.

Although Carmella have been posting some cryptic tweets regarding the incident, the chances of her being the attacker is less.

Previously, during the kick-off show, Becky Lynch was last seen standing with Nikki in the locker room. If that's any indication, then post-TLC PPV, we might be getting a Nikki Bella-Becky Lynch feud.

WWE has not addressed the situation in its official website nor we got much clue about the attacker on last week's Smackdown Live, as well.

However, we do know that Nikki accused Carmella for the happening and she was granted a match at the TLC PPV against her.

This will be the much delayed No Disqualifications match which is supposed to wrap up the rivalry.
