Later it was also reported that Del Rio was attacked by a car driver who hit his car from behind. Apparently, his girlfriend, Paige too was involved in the scene.

First, it was Del Rio and the unknown man who got into a brawl. Paige then arrived on the scene and tried to save Del Rio.

At this point, the man got his hands on Paige and shoved her off to the ground. Del Rio went towards Paige to check her up and this was the moment when the man stabbed him in the back with the help of the knife.

Del Rio also talked about the incident to Mexico’s The Record where he illustrated the situation and said that he and Paige were attacked at the parking lot of the restaurant by a “drunken homeless man.”

He confirmed that the man was able to flee away when he went to check on Paige while she was grounded.

Now quite interestingly, Ryan Satin of the Pro-Wrestling Sheet has stated that he contacted the city’s police department and no records were found involving Alberto Del Rio’s name.

Apparently, a complaint was lodged to the San Antonio’s police department but police did not find that. Only one stabbing case was noted by the police on October 2nd but Del Rio was not the victim, there. Even Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirmed the same.

There might have been some missing links in this situation or maybe the interview was given by Del Rio in the Mexico City got misinterpreted.

The situations will unfold more in the upcoming days and we might here from Paige, as well in the social media. Meanwhile, Del Rio will continue wrestling for the Lucha Underground with the wounds in his body.
