Bengaluru, Oct 21: After a lot of turmoil for the better part of 2016, Paige has undergone a successful neck surgery on Wednesday (October 19). The former women’s champion gave us updates about the surgery via Twitter and so we are now confirmed that she has gone under the knives as scheduled earlier.
Her boyfriend, Alberto Del Rio was by her side in the hospital and another WWE Diva, Natalya visited her after the surgery. Paige showed her heartfelt gratitude to her co-worker, as well. She mentioned Nattie as a "real friend" whereas she was overwhelmed by the love showered by Del Rio in the tough time.
Paige confirmed that it took 3 screws to straighten the neck up and she will share some picture of the same in near future.

Meanwhile, the severity of the injury has been stated earlier and she will be out of action for at least 6 to 9 months. Though, it’s good to be healed fully since she will be back in the squared circle in full shape. Her situation is pretty much similar to that of Nikki Bella, last year.
She has to fix her neck with screws, as well. So, it’s still a mystery why WWE doctors felt that she did not require the surgery. Since they have not advised for the surgery, it’s uncertain whether WWE would be paying the medical bills for her or not.
In addition, she is being suspended in WWE for 3 months in combined out of 12 months which means she will not be paid one-fourth of her annual salary by the company.
Despite these payment issues, Paige decided to go against WWE’s decision and went under the knife. The famous surgeon, Dr. Uribe was behind the operation who is the name behind Nikki Bella’s miraculous return to the ring.
