According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Bulgarian Brute Rusev is victimised of some backstage heat for this new look.

Bengaluru, March 23: Rusev unveiled a new look at the Fastlane PPV. He was seen cut down his long hair and came up with a new cut.

Previously, we thought that the look was to resemble with his newly “handsome Rusev" gimmick. But that apparently dragged him into a lot of troubles.

As per reports from Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Bulgarian Brute is victimised of some backstage heat for this new look.

The Boss, Vince McMahon was not happy at all with this one and hence booked him in a match against Big Show in which he was totally destroyed.

WWE has a certain rule while superstars changing a look. Since a particular superstar is retained under a certain gimmick, they have to let the creative know first if they are intending to go through a look change. In this case, this was not done which dragged Rusev into a hot water.

Furthermore, Rusev posted a tweet supporting the Real-American, Jack Swagger who was released from the company just a few days back.

WWE officials did not take it lightly, either. In this case, Rusev was not the only one to wish Swagger luck for his future.

The consequences are said to be much deeper than thought. Plus, he has undergone a shoulder surgery, recently. So, he will miss this year's Wrestlemania.

This might be the reason that Rusev is not getting the booking that a bonafide heel like him deserves.

Ever since he is done with his rivalry with Roman Reigns, last year, he was given some random booking.

He was paired with a nobody like, Zinder Mahal which failed to earn any sort of attention from the audience.

He was most likely to appear at the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. But, with that chance wiped out following the surgery, he is expected not to return in nearly two months. In the meantime, Lana will try her luck in the NXT scene.
