WWE: John Cena will look for redemption once he returns

By Raja

Bengaluru, Sep 3: “The face that runs the place" has gone on hiatus from the company ever since Summerslam got nixed.

Reports have surfaced prior to the biggest event of the summer that John Cena will end losing his mega match against AJ Styles to go on to a tie-off from WWE.

The actual reason behind this is for filming the season of the American Grit on the Fox Network. Even last year, the same reason caused him two months of in-ring action inside the squared circle.

However, reports suggest that Cena will continue his big returning nags once he is done with the American Grit around the end of October.

According to the reports of RingSideNews.com, the Cenation leader will come back ever stronger and will go on to seek straight redemption against AJ Styles.

AJ Styles is currently having a strong momentum after defeating Cena and becoming the number one contender for the WWE World Title.

He will challenge Dean Ambrose for the title at Backlash on September 11. WWE creative is very much high on him and it will not be surprising if Styles win his first major championship in WWE on the mentioned date.

Once Styles is done with his championship feud against Ambrose, the franchise will return to the company to start right where he left off.

He will straight make his comeback challenge him for the title and in the process will fight for his record 16th WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Cena is a babyface and more importantly franchise player of the WWE which only makes sense to be on the winning side of his rivalry against the former NJPW champion.

Although WWE should be aware of the negative reaction they may face to crown Cena with his 16th world title by virtue of which he will go on to tie the record of the Nature Boy, Ric Flair.

However, WWE is trying to capitalize with the rumors with John Cena's retirement and hence they came up with the moment at Summerslam when Cena left his armband inside the ring.

They would look to continue with the storyline since Styles is bragging with the armband as seen on post-Summerslam, Smackdown Live.
