WWE: Money in the Bank will be hosted as a Smackdown-exclusive PPV

As per their recent advertisement, it is clear that Smackdown will be given the right to host Money in the Bank event.

Bengaluru, Feb 18: Ever since the tradition of hosting the brand exclusive PPVs was started, there were big speculations about one particular PPV and that was Money in the Bank.

It is one night of the year where a superstar earns the right to call himself a holding a ticket to the main event card, directly. He can achieve the same by winning the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Now, superstars from both the brands should be given the opportunity. But, as per WWE's recent PPV norm, both brand's superstars can only perform in the dual brand PPV that is the Big Four of the year (Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble). This meant this year, WWE is willing to give only one single brand the opportunity.

As per their recent advertisement, it is clear that Smackdown will be given the right to host the exciting event of the year.

The Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri will be the venue for this year to watch out for in the month of June.

Ths is what WWE had to offer: “One of the sports entertainment's most historic cities will be the site of one of WWE's greatest traditions when the Scottrade Center in St. Louis hosts Smackdown Live's Money in the Bank 2017 on Sunday, June 18.

"What insanity will take place this year as SmackDown LIVE Superstars throw caution to the wind in the pursuit of championship glory?"

The arena has also advertised the same saying that it will be a Smackdown-exclusive event. The tickets are already available on Ticketmaster starting from February 17th.

It was previously announced by WWE that we will be having 19 PPVs, this year. Keeping aside the big four, we get 15 which means that one of the brands will be getting one extra PPV than the other.

To keep the sheet balanced for both of the sides, it was speculated that Money in the Banks might turn out to be another cross brand show.

However, the older gimmick PPVs like TLC or Elimination Chamber has seen a major success and with the great bookings from the blue brand, we can certainly expect yet another blockbuster night.
