Wisconsin, Feb 28: It was the final episode of WWE Raw before we get the Fastlane PPV on this Sunday. Seth Rollins addressed his Wrestlemania status in a bigger way, on the show.
Plus, Goldberg returned to confront the Universal champion, Kevin Owens before the championship match.
Here’s what went down on Raw that took place at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Goldberg kicked off the show with a big pop from the crowd. He vowed to take the Universal title away from Kevin Owens at Fastlane and defend it at Wrestlemania against Brock Lesnar.
He was just about to leave the ring when KO showed up and promised to stop the 'Goldberg’ chants at Fastlane, forever.
The New Day appeared in the ring and called out Shining Stars for a match. Later, they declared that it was their mistake much similar to the Oscar 2017 night as Rusev and Zinder Mahal were their original opponents. New Day picked up a win after Woods rolled up Zinder Mahal.
Charlotte called out Bayley by cutting a heel promo before their match at Fastlane. After the verbal confrontation, a tag team action took place between the team of Charlotte-Nia Jax and Bayley-Sasha Banks. Nia put up a spectacular display to pin the champion with a bodyslam to the mat.
Seth Rollins appeared on Raw holding crutches as Corey Graves interviewed him. Triple H and Samoa Joe interfered him and asked not to show up at Wrestlemania or else he will be destroyed, completely. Rollins replied by saying that one way or the other, he will make to there to end the segment.
Mick Foley had a verbal encounter with Samoa Joe and handed him a match with Cesaro. But, Joe is with all the momentums by his side and vanquished the resistance of the Swiss Superman with a Uranage. Sami Zayn attacked Joe once the match was over. The backstage officials separated them.
Big Show defeated Shining Stars in a handicap match. Sheamus pinned Titus O’Neil with a Brogue Kick in an impromptu match.
Big Cass picked up a win against Luke Gallows after connecting with a big boot. There were also a couple of Cruiserweight matches.
The finishing segment of Raw has witnessed a contract signing between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman.
The mountain among men disrespected Foley inside the ring and proved his dominance, once again by destroying Reigns.
He sent Reigns sternum-first into the top turnbuckle which was ruined by it. But, the Big Dog somehow was still able to sign the contract for their Fastlane match to end the show.
