Bengaluru, Oct 23: Every week when Smackdown Live goes off the air, we get Talking Smack show on the WWE Network with the host, Renee Young and the Smackdown GM, Daniel Bryan.
This past week Bryan criticized the decision making of Raw show-runners i.e. Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon. He directly called them cowards.
The context came up with the idea of Smackdown being the number one show on WWE television for the past couple of months.
They have absolutely dominated since the WWE Draft where Raw misses the X-factor until they came up with the blockbuster edition of last week which saw a historic return of Goldberg.
Daniel Bryan told that Raw believes in showcasing and hence they called a superstar back from the attitude era to pitch the idea of having the Goldberg-Lesnar match at Survivor Series.
On the other hand, they don’t deal like that. The blue brand has full faith on their superstars and they don’t need to call up any former ones to grow the ratings.
Mick Foley couldn’t wait to hit back the leader of the Yes movement and replied on Facebook quoting, “REALLY?
So McMahon/Foley, the duo who booked the first women's main event on #Raw in 12 years, and who have booked the first ever Hell in a Cell Match in #WomensWrestling history are cowardly? Really? Cowardly? Daniel might want to rethink his word choice there.
It seems to me the last time he chose the root word "coward" to describe someone, he was schooled by The Miz.
Stephanie and I thought we would have to wait until #SurvivorSeries to humble Daniel and Shane-O-Mac - but if need be, we can layeth the verbal smackdown on their candy asses long before then. Don't mess with the #McMahonFoleyConnection.
*Rock's catchphrase stolen with his permission.”
Daniel Bryan taking a dig to Raw on Talking Smack is not something new. This is worked shoot to build the rivalry between the two brands and especially in a time when the two brands will lock horns at the Survivor Series PPV. These shoot segments earned the WWE Network exclusive a lot of fame.
