Bengaluru, Oct 13: John Cena has failed to tie the record of the legendary Ric Flair at the No Mercy PPV and as per his schedule, he will not be seen in the WWE ring for the next two months.

He has not made an appearance this past week on WWE Smackdown but he was present there with the production.

He will be present with the WWE crew & management due to the promotion of WWE’s partnership with Susan G Komen until this weekend before flying off to filming the second season of American grit on the Fox Network.

But before going to hiatus Cena perhaps made his last appearance in a non-televised live event as part of the Main Event taping after Smackdown went off the air.

After Smackdown was taped, WWE arranged two more matches as part of the Main event excluding one dark match which featured the franchise player, John Cena.

He has picked up his role just like post-Summerslam where he did not make any televised appearances.

As a must mention, the Cenation leader has teamed up with his real life girlfriend, Nikki Bella in a six-man tag team match. Here are results from the main event tapings.

The Hype Bros vs. The Vaudevillains

The team of Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley is engaging in a feud with the Ascension on Smackdown. In the meantime, they gained momentum by defeating the Vaudevillains.

Jack Swagger vs. Tyler Breeze

Jack Swagger has not been on the irrelevant list since after joining Smackdown Live and he picked up the win against one-half of the Breezango on the main events taping.

John Cena, Nikki Bella, and Dolph Ziggler vs Carmella, The Miz and Baron Corbin (non-televised match)

Quite ironically John Cena teamed up for the first time with Nikki Bella and even Bella’s former beau, Dolph Ziggler.

However, the match turned out to be quite fun for the live event fans. The trio delivered a triple five-knuckle shuffle on their opponents following it with their finishing maneuvers to pick up the victory. You can see the clipping below.
