Bengaluru, Feb 23: There have been a plethora of rumours regarding the return of the first-ever Universal Champion, Finn Balor.
It was pretty much unfortunate that he had to be sidelined just the day after winning the title at Summerslam.
Wrestlemania season is approaching towards us in a hurry and it's evident that he will make his return to the flagship show, anytime soon.
Meanwhile, despite not getting medically cleared, The Demon King made a surprise return in the latest NXT tapings.
He did not wrestle in a match but got physical with the superstars present in the ring. He appeared to rescue Shinsuke Nakamura who was getting assaulted by Bobby Rhoode.
Nakamura previously competed in a match against the former Cruiserweight champion, TJ Perkins during the taping.
Following the match, the current NXT champion attacked him from behind. He was also accompanied by Andrade "Cien" Almas.
He shoved off the heels from the ring to provide aid to Nakamura. This particular episode is likely to get aired later in March.
The following video was posted by WWE following this appearance:
After the physical encounter, Balor cut a promo for the audience where he mentioned that he will be back soon to claim what belonged to him.
His indication is clear that he will be gunning for the Universal Championship whenever he comes back.
