Bengaluru, Feb 12: Ever since the steel structure known as Elimination Chamber was created in the WWE, it remains a nightmare to every superstar that competed inside it.

As JBL used to say that there’s not a single inch of that structure that does not hurt a superstar’s body.

Over the years, the demonic structure has given us some memorable moments and we expect the same, this year too.

As per recent rumours, there might be certain changes that are being made to the chamber structure.

It was first reported by Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Newsletter when he stated that this year WWE is willing to make certain changes to the chamber that is mad of pure steel.

Bulletproof glass is used to set up the four pods in the corners.

We have not received any updated picture of the structure, so far. But, the new structure is said to be not much different from the older one.

WWE obviously does want to leak the new version and kept it hidden. They are seriously concerned about the backstage leaks, nowadays.

Rumours do say that these changes are being made to avoid superstars’ injury after competing in it. WWE is already dealing with the injury of Seth Rollins and does not want to add yet another name to the list.

Previously, when the chamber match was introduced, WWE was in the non-PG era. So, the structure was to showcase violence inside it.

However, with the PG era continuing the brutal activities inside the chamber has been toned down, over the years. The alterations might be due to that, as well.

Triple H was the originator of this concept back in 2002. The then Raw GM, Eric Bischoff introduced it to us at the Survivor Series PPV.

Since then 19 chamber matches was hosted and Triple H holds the record of maximum wins inside the structure.

After a hiatus of nearly two years, this year will mark the 7th Elimination Chamber PPV where John Cena will be defending his championship.

The brand-exclusive event will be held at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.
