Bengaluru, Oct 24: WWE Survivor Series will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year from Toronto, Canada.
Prior to the mega event, we are scheduled for one more stop and that is the Hell in a Cell PPV on October 30th, exclusively on Raw.
As reported earlier, the WWE Universal title match at the PPV was supposed to be a triple threat match among Seth Rollins, Chris Jericho, and Kevin Owens.
But, at the very last moment, WWE creative thought that a hell in a cell match between Rollins and Owens will be a better idea and hence the plan got nixed.
This is the reason why we are going to get the triple threat match at the upcoming edition of Monday Night Raw.
Chris Jericho has been an integral part of the Rollins-Owens feud, so far. Hence, Cagesideseats.com reports that Jericho will be a part of the Hell in a Cell match, too. Most likely, he will be the special guest referee for the match inside the steel structure.
As for further planning, the audience is quite over with the veteran’s antiques like “stupid idiot” or “The List of Jericho” and the recent pop might push him to a singles match against his buddy, Kevin Owens. Jericho will turn babyface to have his title match at the Survivor Series PPV.
In the meantime, Jericho announced his new venture with his band, Fozzy and hence he most probably will not be with WWE, once Survivor Series is over.
Speaking of the last big PPV of the year, Stephanie McMahon has accepted the challenge thrown by his brother Shane McMahon for the Raw vs. Smackdown matches.
So we are now going to see a traditional 5-on-5 contest, a tag team 5-on-5 contest and a women’s 5-on-5 contest at Survivor Series.
These matches are going to be extremely significant for both the brands since the difference makers can land up to the opposite brand after the PPV.
Basically, this is going to be done like the previous bragging rights concept of the WWE and some player interchange will possibly take place.
