New Delhi, July 26: The recent ongoing in the WWE programming is certainly indicating that the Summerslam PPV is approaching towards us.

It is the second biggest PPV of the WWE calendar and it is evident that the company will leave no stones unturned to make it a fruition, for sure.

As a result, we will witness some big time matchups in order to hype up the dual brand PPV in August. It was being speculated that John Cena might be announced as the number one contender for Jinder Mahal's WWE Championship at Summerslam.

However, Daniel Bryan instead chose to take an interesting route by letting a dream match come to fruition. As per his announcement, it will John Cena taking on Shinsuke Nakamura for the first-time ever in the pro-wrestling history with the stipulation that the winner will get to face Mahal for the WWE title at Summerslam.

For the pro-wrestling fans, it can't get any bigger than this. Both Cena and Nakamura are two of the legendary superstars in the entire wrestling industry today and the crowd will finally get to see them locking horns in a match with this high stake.

Apart from this one, Kevin Owens will get his US title rematch against AJ Styles after he lost it on last night's Smackdown. The US championship has changed hands for three times in the last 72 hours which has already made the situation quite interesting.

As for WWE Raw, the three contenders for the WWE Universal Championship will square off in a triple threat match. There has been major bad blood among these three men and settling the differences inside the squared circle is a far better idea.

So, Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, and Samoa Joe will feature in the main event of next week's Raw. Plus, Jason Jordan will address the situation between him and his father, Kurt Angle from the latter's hometown of Pittsburgh after he appears on a special edition of The Miz TV.
