WWE announces the rematch between Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton

By Raja

Bengaluru, Aug 30: After the ending that we saw back at Summerslam main event, it was evident that we are bound to see a rematch in the near future and that's exactly what WWE came up with.

Brock Lesnar will lock horn against Randy Orton in the rematch from Summerslam. The match is all set to take place on September 24 in the All-State arena of Chicago, Illinois.

It will be a live event and not be a part of WWE PPV. Hence, the expectation is, it will be a WWE Network special.

Randy Orton confirmed the first on his Twitter handle as seen below:

Aftermath WWE issued the following on their official website: “The Beast and The Viper are going to war again. Just more than a week after a controversial TKO loss to Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, Randy Orton confirmed on Twitter that he will receive a rematch against The Conqueror at the WWE Live Event in Chicago, Illinois, Saturday, Sept. 24.

The match at SummerSlam was arguably Lesnar's most savage performance since returning to WWE in 2012, and one of the most agonizing defeats for The Apex Predator in some time. The Beast laid into Orton with a barrage of strikes that busted him open and forced WWE officials to call the match off, awarding the victory to Lesnar.

Orton received 10 staples as a result of Lesnar's assault, and The Beast was fined by Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon for his actions. Hopefully, Lesnar has his checkbook ready for The Rematch."

As reported earlier WWE is trying to capitalize over the controversial ending of Lesnar and Orton at Summerslam and they are probably planning a feud between Shane McMahon and Brock Lesnar.

The match from Chicago is supposed to be the match where Brock is supposed to go at Shane, once again and thereby culminating the feud for the future.

In addition, this week on Raw the advocate for Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman had a confrontation with Stephanie McMahon.

He mocked Stephanie for charging Brock Lesnar with $500 for his actions at Summerslam. Stephanie did not like the acts of Heyman and said that a storm is coming for Lesnar in future and the beast should be ready for it.

This certainly indicates a much-anticipated return from Goldberg which is perhaps on the card in the near future. WWE Universe is dying to see the returning Goldberg confronting literally unstoppable Lesnar and it looks like WWE would not disappoint them, either.
