Natal (Brazil), June 13: An eventful first half saw three goals being disallowed as Mexico and Cameroon headed in the breather with 0-0 scoreline in their Group A match at the FIFA World Cup 2014 here today. In the end, Oribe Peralta's 61st minute goal gave Mexico 1-0 victory.

With the rain getting heavier at the Estadio das Dunas stadium in Natal, the players continued to battle it out but the first 45 minutes failed to see a goal.

However, Mexico found the net twice and Cameroon once but were ruled out due to offside. Mexico's Hector Herrera set up a good ball to number 10 Gio Dos Santos but the linesman's flag had gone up even as he thrashed the ball into the net in the 11th minute.

Dos Santos was again on the wrong side of the offside rule when he headed the ball home from a corner kick in the 29th minute.

Cameroon too had a goal disallowed in the 16th minute when Chopu-Moting found the net but Samuel Eto'o was offside.

Mexio had a major share of ball possession at 63 per cent. They had one shot on target while Cameroon had none. Overall Mexico had 3 shots on goal and their opponents 4.
