Which Superstar will win the WWE Universal Championship on Raw?

By Raja

Bengaluru, Aug 29: It was quite unfortunate for the fans to see the first ever WWE Universal champion, Finn Balor relinquishing the championship the very next day after winning it.

Last week, before the beginning of the show we have been given the shocking news. Balor suffered a dislocated shoulder at the Summerslam match against Seth Rollins. Hence he had no choice but to vacate his title.

The four contenders for the new championship

WWE then hosted a series of matches among the top superstars to pick four superstars who will go on to compete in a Fatal-4-way match, this Monday night (August 29) on WWE Raw. The match will determine the next WWE Universal Champion for the flagship show of the company.

Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens and Big Cass were the four superstars who qualified for the match. So, whom do we should expect the most to walk out as the new champion?

Big Cass can be kept from out of the equation, as of now. Though he is in the good book of Vince McMahon, he's to achieve a lot as a singles competitor. Before starting his single run he needs to win the tag title with his partner Enzo for at least once which should follow with a strong booking.

Kevin Owens is the dark horse in the match. He had a lot of experience in Indy wrestling and NXT before getting into the main roster of WWE. After hard work of all these years, WWE may finally reward him with the coveted gold that he deserves. In addition, he is going with a strong momentum with his fellow Canadian, Chris Jericho.

Seth Rollins is the most favorite to walk out as the new champion. He never lost the title, last year since he faces the same condition like Balor. Since vacating the title he never had the chance to have his title run. And, since he is the face of the Raw brand, who better to have the reddish title?

Roman Reigns does have the chance to win the title. However, the question is WWE looking to back him up once again, now that his suspension is over? He is now getting a decent run as the challenger for the US title. Since that rivalry is still not over, it will not be meaningful to crown him with the new championship. However, there are good chances to give him with the title to bring on Rusev to the main event picture, afterward.
