Where to watch FIFA World Cup 2014 in India?

Bangalore, June 12: Football fans in India can catch all the action from the FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil on "Sony SIX" TV, which is the official broadcaster of the tournament.

Sony SIX channel, which is owned and operated by MSM India, will telecast Live all 64 matches from the World Cup. Fans can also catch the tournament's on-field action in High Definition on Sony SIX HD channel.

The Opening Ceremony in Sao Paulo will be telecast Live tonight from 11.30 PM IST.

In the last two months, Indian sports fans were glued to Sony SIX for the Indian Premier League (IPL 7) cricket tournament. Now, they can continue to watch the best sports stars on this channel.

World Cup, which begins today (June 12), will go on till July 13. The opening match tonight is between hosts Brazil and Croatia, which will be telecast Live from 1.30 AM (June 13).

All 64 matches will be at night with India 8.30 hours ahead of Brazil time. 24 matches of the tournament start at 9.30 PM which is good news for many who cannot stay up very late to watch other matches. There are games starting at 12.30 AM, 1.30 AM, 2.30 AM, 3.30 AM and 6.30 AM IST too.

The pre-game show has been titled as "Cafe Rio" (fans blast 'Cafe Rio') which will be Live one and half hours before the game starts. Every morning they have "Football Extraaa" show Live where fans can call and interact with experts.

The shows will feature some of the most eminent names from national and international football as studio guests including Peter Crouch, Robbie Fowler, Peter Shilton, Mikael Silvestre, Ellyse Perry, India captain Sunil Chhetri along with Bollywood star and football enthusiast John Abraham interacting and analysing the game, said Sony SIX.
