Bengaluru, August 2: Amidst growing speculation that Sebastain Vettel is looking for a new team once his Ferrari contract expires in 2018, there are strong indications that he will stay with the Italian outfit.
Asked if he is staying with Ferrari after last Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix which he won, the German driver said: "I don't see why not."
Ferrari president Sergio Marchionne is also in favour of retaining Vettel and a formal announcement is expected at the home Grand Prix in Monza on September 3.
"I think I have been public on the Sebastian issue, if he wants to stay he is more than welcome to stay," said Marchionne.
