Bengaluru, Sep 1: WWE is a scripted show and hence the success of every feud depends on good story-telling. If it's a lack of innovation from the writer, then the story-telling is bound to be boring and there're quite a few examples in recent times.
The idea of turning PG combined Raw and Smackdown brand from 2013 onwards and created some random bookings which spoiled a number of feuds with tremendous potential. This, in turn, caused lowest TV ratings in recent times. Here're top 5 of those spoiled feuds.
Though he came out victorious after the feud, there were only random bookings for them on Raw or the PPV kick-offs. Furthermore, WWE stretched the feud towards three consecutive PPVs which in turn made it worst feud of the year.
The Miz vs. Mizdow (2015)
He delivered incredible performances and kept the spectators entertaining. Mizdow stole the spotlight from the Miz and hence it became a power-packed feud to watch out for. But, WWE booked it to the thinnest way possible and the presence of Mizdow faded away instead of getting to the upper card.
Nikki Bella vs. Brie Bella (2014)
The storyline started with Nikki Bella turning on against her own flesh and blood costing the match at Summerslam.
With the family drama continuing and the rivalry being extremely personal between the twins, they were about to cut each other throats.
But, WWE decided to screw up the whole thing by getting Brie on the same page with her sister all of a sudden. Nikki then went on to become the longest reigning Divas Champion.
Rusev and Summer Rae vs. Dolph Ziggler and Lana (2015)
When it looked like we are all set for a personal fight, Lana's engagement pictures with on-screen rival Rusev surfaced on the social media and WWE had to prevent the storyline right there. Ziggler was so frustrated with this incident and later expressed it out via social media.
Team BAD vs. Team PCB vs. Team Bella (2015)
Furthermore, Nikki Bella got sidelined by a career-threatening injury to mess it up all. Charlotte then continued with her boring championship reign for a long year.
Sasha Banks was not seen for half of the year and Becky Lynch was not given the spotlight, either. In the end, all we've got was a triple threat match at Wrestlemania 32.
