Tennis legend Leander Paes confirms biopic on him is coming

"My biopic will try to emphasise on my struggle to become a tennis player. It will try to show how I have fought back to establish myself."

Kolkata, Nov 17: Still today, it is difficult to guess that he is 43-year-old. Even, playing fun tennis against Sourav Ganguly for some time, he instinctively becomes serious.

Paes predicts record year for him

And Leander Paes, after his visit to Kolkata a couple of days ago to attend a felicitation programme of All India Tennis Association (AITA) secretary Hiranmoy Chatterjee, stressed on the point saying, "Yes, involvement in the game has been my key strength to move forward even at this age. While playing fun tennis or exhibition, I still get involved and become serious."

And as the reflection of his involvement towards the game, Leander seems almost crazy about keeping his fitness always at a standard where nobody can blame.

He added, "Fitness the key to success in any sport. Naturally, I have made it as habit to eat and sleep with fitness training."

Even, in the off-season Paes revealed he trains marshal arts under a qualified trainer to improve fitness.

Paes has already got the experience of acting in a Bolywood film. Once he acted in a film named "Rajdhani Express".

Then again he signed for a Bengali film also which finally was not completed. Now the 43-year old young man is in a process of presenting a biopic on him.

When asked as about the issue, Paes smiled and commented, "It will also come but not immediately. The preliminary discussions have begun."

Paes also said, "My biopic will try to emphasise on my struggle to become a tennis player. It will try to show how I have fought back to establish myself through an extensive hard work almost throughout the life. My biopic will be made in a way which can set example for the new generation tennis players."

The Olympian however disclosed that he eager to play in the forthcoming Davis Cup against New Zealand in February if AITA includes in the Indian squad.
