Despite the fact that felicitation programmes are still being organised for her and wishes are still being poured in, this newly-made star in Indian badminton from Pullela Gopichand Academy, is back on court. (Who is Sindhu?)

On Tuesday Sindhu again reached the academy sharp at 4.30 in the morning which she has been doing for last 10 years. And the rigorous training session under the careful observation of Gopichand continued for the next three hours including two 15 minutes' breaks.

And surprisingly, she did not pick up her phone during the breaks. One of the academy assistant coaches, describing the situation, said over phone from Hyderabad, "Some distinguished persons called her, probably with the purpose of inviting her as guests. But following advice from her sir Gopichand, the shuttler has decided to stop attending functions gradually."

Balasubhramanium, who has been working as one of the assistant coaches in the academy since the beginning of its journey, was in high praise for Sindhu.

And while speaking over phone, he revealed another interesting fact. He said, "Now Sindhu has started the three-against-one training. It is a deadly practice and Gopi sir offers this specialised training only for the matured students in the academy."

The three-against-one training is one player playing against three players at a time, standing on the opposite court. And the grueling part of this training is that three players, standing on the opposite court will always play shots in their straight line at a time so that the player, towards whom they are playing shots, has to move both sides constantly. If he or she stops moving towards all around the court, she will not be able to return the shots, played by his or her three opposition players.

According to the Gopichand academy’s assistant coaches, this specialised training will help Sindhu to take her fitness to a supernatural level and she will be more deadly in the matches in future. Sindhu will start its campaign from Denmark Open in the coming month.
