Bengaluru, July 12: Legendary Manchester United player Ryan Giggs, former Argentine superstar Hernan Crespo and Ronaldinho are set to join Premier Futsal which will kick-start its campaign from July 15.
These legends of the game joins the likes of Paul Scholes, Michel Salgado and Futsal great Falcao from Brazil.
Ryan Giggs, who had played 672 matches for English Premier League Manchester United, left the club few days back after 29 years of service. After retiring from football, he had joined the club as assistant manager. He will join long time friend and former team mate Paul Scholes in this tournament.
Ronaldinho, 32 is one of the greats of the game but unfortunately is without a club at the moment. The Brazilian magician has been roped in by the organisers who will be arriving in India shortly to mesmerize his Indian fans.
Hernan Crespo used serve Serie B side Modena as the head coach until last March when he was sacked. The legendary striker has played for Chelsea FC and the two Milan giants in the yesteryears.
Premier Futsal is a private and semi-professional Futsal league promoted by Mr. Xavier Britto of Indev Group. The league will be hosted from July 15 - 26 2016 to create awareness of Futsal as a sport in India.
Former football great Luis Figo is the President of the tournament and star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is the brand ambassador.
