Bengaluru, Sep 1: On Monday Night (August 29) Raw we have seen a new champion crowning on the show after a blockbuster fatal-4-way championship match and more importantly, a dramatic finish.
The main event was contested in an elimination capacity. The crowd chanted “this is awesome” throughout the exciting match.
But, they could not believe their eyes what happened towards the end. Triple H made a triumphant return to the show.
When everyone thought he would hand Rollins the victory, he turned on him by hitting a Pedigree. Owens just had to cover Rollins to become the new WWE Universal Champion.
The crowd chanted “You deserve it” because they were seemingly happy for Owens. And now, they are probably going to get what they want i.e. a Rollins vs. Owens feud.
It has been already announced that Owens will defend his championship against Rollins at the Clash of the Championship PPV.
Hence, it is not likely that two villains will fight it out for the championship, so it’s time for Rollins to turn face, finally.
These two will build up a huge feud for the upcoming weeks to the much excitement of the WWE Universe. Triple H will obviously be there in the mix.
Rumours also suggest that from now on, the COO of the company will be a regular face in between the championship matches. His vendetta will be to bar Rollins from capturing the WWE Universal Championship.
As for Rollins, he will look to regain the title as a babyface adding a new dimension to the feud. WWE is looking to turn Rollins as the face of the company with the move.
We have not seen Rollins like this before and the audience will be pleased with WWE’s decision.
Triple H will be in the role to take Owens under his wings, much like what he has done previously for Rollins. He was absent from the main event scenes once his match with Roman Reigns was over at Wrestlemania 32.
Now, his main focus would be to cement the heel character of Owens. The Canadian superstar is born with his heelish antiques and his association with Triple H should work like magic.
