In an ill-tempered contest at Arena das Dunas on Tuesday, Uruguay advanced to the knockouts with a 1-0 win, the result which sent the Italians home.

The much spoken incident of the match came towards the end when Suarez appeared to have bitten Chiellini on his left shoulder. Though the Liverpool striker's teetch-attack went unnoticed by the Mexican referee Marco Rodriguez, video recordings could nail him and be banned for several matches.

FIFA has already launched investigation into the incident. This is not the first time Suarez has been found guilty of biting an opposition player. He had been punished for similar offences in the past.

Here are the pictures of the biting incident.
