While the Archers did a splendid job in the winning their individual games to qualify for the next round, Shooter Jitu Rai was knocked out of the competion in his event.
Also the Indian women's hockey team suffered a huge jolt as they conceded a heavy 6-1 defeat to the might Australian side.
