PHOTOS: Colourful fans for FIFA World Cup 2014

Rio de Janeiro, June 20: Football fans across the world have converged on 12 cities of Brazil for the FIFA World Cup 2014.

It has been eight days since the tournament began in Sao Paulo on June 12. So far we have witnessed some of the colourful, craziest supporters for all the 32 countries playing in the event.

Home team Brazil enjoyed a lot of support in their opening match against Croatia in Sao Paulo. It was delight for them as the hosts started with a victory.

Of the 64 matches to be played, 23 are completed by June 19. Three teams - Netherlands, Chile and Colombia have progressed to the knockouts (round of 16) while defending champions Spain have been eliminated after two successive losses.
