Paris Saint-Germain stun Chelsea, in last 8 of UEFA Champions League

London, Mar 12: Paris Saint-Germain knocked Chelsea out of the Champions League after an electrifying 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. The French champions are through to the quarters via away goals from David Luiz and Thiago Silva.

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill opened the score for Chelsea in the 81st minute, but a thunderous header from David Luiz equalled the score and gave the PSG 1-1 at full time and took the game to extra time.

PSG had talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic sent off in the first half and fell behind to a Gary Cahill goal with nine minutes remaining, only for David Luiz, a former Chelsea player to take the tie to extra time with thunderous 86th-minute header.

Eden Hazard gave Chelsea the lead after handball from Silva in the penalty box, he converted the penalty to give Chelsea the lead 2-1, but Thiago Siva equalised with a stunning header to make it 2-2 and take PSG to the quarters.

The thrilling match saw 7 yellow cards and 1 red card awarded by the refree to players from both the sides.

"Our performance was not good enough," the Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho told Sky Sports.

"The opponent was stronger than us. They coped better with the pressure of the games. Because they had 10 men, we felt more the pressure of winning and they had nothing to lose," he added.
