Liverpool's great Steven Gerrard makes 700th appearence

London, Feb 5: Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard became the third player in the club's history to make 700 appearences for Liverpool when he was included in the starting side against Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup fourth round at the Macron Stadium.

Gerrard marked the achievement by wearing a special pair of boots with the No 700 on them, and also the names of his daughters Lilly and Lexie.

The 34-year old legend midfielder has spent his 25-year old career at Liverpool, However, Gerrard will leave Liverpool at the end this season and will join Los Angeles Galaxy in North America's Major League Soccer.

Former Liverpool midfielder/winger, Ian Callaghan had made a club-record of 857 appearences and Jamie Carragher, former team-mate of Gerrard had made 737 appearences for Liverpool.

Liverpool advanced to a fifth-round of the FA Cup and will clash against Crystal Palace on February 14 as they came from behind to beat Bolton with two late goals from Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho.
