Bengaluru, Dec 10: The problems between Ryback and WWE take a new turn even after he left the company several months earlier.
As reported by PWInsider.com, the former WWE superstar is willing to use the trademark “Ryback” while launching his own nutritional supplements. But, WWE will be taking legal actions against him if he does so.
Apparently, Ryback has already submitted the brand name i.e. “Ryback” for both his nutritional and clothing line. But, since the name is an exclusive property of WWE Creative, they are likely to oppose it. This was the same reason that Ryback was advertised as the Big Guy while appearing in the indie scenes.
But, he also tried to get out of the loophole in the WWE contract by officially changing his name. His previous name was Ryan Allen Reeves which he changed to Ryback Allen Reeves. This ensured that even if he used the name Ryback name in the else promotions then no legal actions cannot be taken by WWE. However, they have time until February 15, 2017, to file any lawsuit against the former Intercontinental champion.
After leaving WWE, the Big Guy started his own podcast and already started promoting his own brand which he will soon launch. As noted earlier, it would supply nutritional and clothing ornaments. Apart from that, he appeared in a handful of appearances in the independent wrestling circuits.
First one was in the Northeast Wrestling's Rumble in Rockland event and the second one was the same promotion’s Wrestling Under the Stars 5 event. His next appearance is scheduled in the United Kingdom in the 5 Star Wrestling event. He will take on another former WWE Superstar, John Morrison aka now a Lucha Underground superstar, Johny Mundo. This match will be contested for the 5-star wrestling championship.
Ryback decided to leave WWE the day after WWE Payback, this year. He let us knew all the rough patches he went through during the last phase of his WWE career and looked forward to a further independent wrestling career.
