Latest on Kurt Angle’s return to the WWE

By Raja

Bengaluru, Sep 19: Kurt Angle is a known figure to any wrestling fans and they always dream to see the man in WWE for one last time. He left WWE in the year 2006.

Back then, he was struggling with a number of injuries requiring some time-off. So he decided to call it a day in the WWE. Later he joined the TNA promotion as their franchise player and became the star power there.

The former Olympic medalist is now done with his stint in TNA and hence fans are constantly buzzing with the chances of his return to the WWE.

During the WWE Draft, the anticipation reached to the highest point but unfortunately we did not see a dramatic return.

In recent time Kurt has talked with Title Match Wrestling and said that he is not returning, at least for this year.

He is in talks with Vince McMahon and Triple H and they too are interested in bringing him back. However, it totally depends on the two authority figures in WWE, whether he will be called in future or not.

In Kurt's own words it might happen in the next year or “maybe not at all." The interesting thing is despite both the parties being interested in the return, nothing came out of fruition, till date.

Kurt was offered a full-time WWE contract in the year 2014 but he rejected it since he is not willing to perform on a full-time basis at this age.

Talks did not go further since Vince McMahon thinks that Angle is injury prone wrestler, considering his past history.

With his growing age, it might have increased. He is currently performing on the independent circuits and also has a contract with the Bellator MMA.

However, Dave Meltzer told earlier that the 2K series are in talks with the wrestling veteran for featuring as the face of the WWE 2K18, next year.

We have seen in the past that superstars like Sting, The Ultimate Warrior has made their comeback with this video game.

WE might get Goldberg, this year following the same trend and WWE might arrange the same with Kurt Angle too, the next year.
