Kabaddi World Cup 2016: Probables for Team India

All the 26 players were in action during the fourth season of Pro Kabaddi League. Thus, there is a stiff competition among all 26 players who are preparing in the camp.

Host India are the favourites for the title as they are virtually undefeated in the game.

Some of the best players in the world, such as Anup Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Rahul Chaudhari, Pardeep Narwal, Manjeet Chhillar, Rohit Kumar, Deepak Niwas Hooda and Rishank Devadiga among others are participating in the camp.

Thus, selecting final 14 isn't going to be an easy task for the coach and team management for the biggest Kabaddi extravaganza of the year, in which 12 countries are going to participate.

Here are 14 probables who might feature in the side, if India go with 6 Raiders, according to experts:

Raider 1: Anup Kumar, he has been India's star raider and a charismatic captain who leads by example. Won Pro Kabaddi League Season 2 for his side U Mumba.

Raider 2: Rahul Chaudhary, both side raider. He has been the most successful raider in the four seasons of PKL.

Raider 3: Rohit Kumar, another Anup Kumar in the making, he has captured the imagination of experts in the last two PKL seasons.

Raider 4: Pardeep Narwal, sharp minded raider famous for his 'dubkee'.

Raider 5: Jasvir Singh, the very experienced Jaipur Pink Panthers' skipper in PKL is known for confusing the opponents' defence.

Raider 6: Ajay Thakur/Kashiling Adake (both are skilled at overcoming lower body tackle).

Defender 1: Mohit Chhillar, India's one of the best defender for Right Cover.

Defender 2: Surender Nada, Left Corner. Both (Surender and Mohit) have played under Anup Kumar and have always impressed with their performances. Nada bagged 33 'tackle points' in the PKL 4 for Bengaluru Bulls.

Defender 3: Surjeet Singh, Right Cover.

Defender 4: D Cherathalan, can be placed on any side.

Defender 5: Sandeep Narwal, any side.

All Rounders:

A team becomes formidable if there all-rounders in it and there is no dearth of all-rounders in the Indian side. The all rounders are those who can do all sort of things like raiding and defending. They are very important for the side as they give X factor to the side.

All Rounder 1: Manjeet Chillar best from Left Cover.

All Rounder 2: Deepak Hooda, he can replace Manjeet Chillar at Left Cover if team requires an extra raider.

All Rounder 3: Rajesh Narwal (Right Cover and Left raider) supports team with his raiding skills.
